Twenty years ago, a northern chef (Kevin) met a southern book editor (Jenni). Sharing their passion for world history and admiration of beautiful interiors, they travelled the world to learn and develop their ideas. A few years on, with three children in tow, they embarked on their own business, selling decorative antiques and vintage homeware at local markets and county fairs.
Over a decade of hard work, steep learning curves, and constant buying and selling, along with a smattering of stubborness, has enabled them to grow the family business – HAIRSINES – into a veritable showcase of decorative antique pieces and primitive folkart, restored and on sale at their small warehouse in Cambridgeshire.
Quarried from international trade fairs, European street brocantes, private collectors and vide greniers, their stock aspires to an exquisite aesthetic: the ageless beauty of time-worn materials.
